Not much to report. I had really good mark in my last exam. Around 85% for the writing exam and 89% for the listening exam. This help for the motivation. I am not studying for nothing.
Friday I went to a super delicious restaurant with one of my Yamasa’s classmates. It was a kind of shabu-shabu with Japanese soup and Kobe beef and lots of vegetable and tofu and pork … A lot of meat. Meat at last. All you can eat for an hour and a half. A very expensive meal. At 100$CND, I will not do it often, but I will sure go there again.
On Wednesday I went for the modeling job interview. This was my first experience in the Nagoya Subway. Every little bit of Japanese I have learned so far is useful. It is a very extensive Subway system. The Montreal-Laval Metro extension is very laughable when you compare it other city subway system. I made my way to the middle of the Sakura-dori Boulevard. It was raining a lot. Even with a long coat and an umbrella I was wet. And it is getting hot in Japan.
Then with the help of the map, the people from the agency gave me, I attempted to find their office. After 10 minutes I realized I was going in the wrong direction. Oups… I had to call the office to notify them of the delay. Since the street have no name it makes hard to find a specific location. I asked some parking attendants but they could only confirm that I was in the right neighborhood. I looked in direction of the sky and say the name of the office building. I was late by only 11 minutes.
On Tuesday I went to the hair salon. I previously took an appointment the day before. Even with my limited Japanese I was able to do it. I have a Japanese cut now haha. Two women washed my hair for half an hour. Maybe it was dirty? Anyway it felt very good. Then the cut, they only use scissors no electric razor kind of a surprise for me.
Monday I went to City Hall to retrieve my Gaijin Card. Nothing to report except that my backpack breached in the middle of Route 1. That would make a good Apple story. The ABS case of my iBookG4 resisted the shock. The computer still works.
